Joanna Reynolds B. Mus. A specialty in Ed., Humber college Jazz Performance, Certified Orff Instructor
Passionate about music education, Joanna Reynolds has been teaching music for more than 20 years. In addition to running Discovery Music for Children, Joanna is a music specialist for the TDSB.
In search of ways to provide students with a more meaningful and engaging experience, Joanna discovered the Orff philosophy and has become a certified Orff instructor. Joanna has also training in the Kodaly method, having taken the RCM Kodaly 1 course. Joanna is the recipient of both the Gunild Keetman Scholarship and the Keith Bissell Memorial Scholarship in support of her studies in Orff.
Joanna has been running the Discovery Music for Children summer camp since 2010.
Joanna is also a freelance saxophonist/flutist/singer who has played a variety of different musical styles including; jazz, latin (salsa, cumbia, cha cha etc.) and classical. Together with her husband, pianist Rob Thaller and bassist Clark Johnston, Joanna is part of jazz trio Aqualuna Music.
